La nature et l’enchaînement des évènements qui se sont produits ces deux dernières semaines dans la baie de San Francisco sont inédits. On peut parler d’une révolte. Celle-ci s’inscrit dans le cadre du mouvement national grandissant déclenché par les émeutes de Ferguson suite à l’exécution par la police de Michael Brown ; mais elle est à placer aussi dans la continuité des luttes qui se sont développées depuis 2009 à Oakland à la suite de la mort d’Oscar Grant.
